Collaborating Across Borders: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Antimicrobial Stewardship

MOIC partnered and jointly organised this event in collaboration with colleagues from Ireland and
the CARA Network. This was the first all-Ireland conference focusing on antimicrobial stewardship.
The aim was to support, develop and implement a collaborative approach to infection management
and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The event brought together over 120 cross-sector,
multidisciplinary participants from across the Island of Ireland and featured presentations from
national and international experts. Participants shared their research, proposed interventions and
stewardship programmes and presented new methodologies in the area of antibiotic prescribing and
infections.
