The MOIC team lead on the technical assessment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for local (NI) procurement exercises and collaborations using the tripartite process they were integral in developing during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Working alongside BSO PaLS and regional IPC colleagues MOIC undertake the technical assessment of both established commercial products and new innovative products produced by local manufacturers who, in response to the demonstrated need for Northern Ireland resilience, began manufacturing diversification into the PPE market during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The MOIC team also work with HSCNI colleagues in the adoption and utilisation of national guidelines relating to PPE to ensure any required NI regulatory divergence is applied.
